In addition to the above airports, the closest to your destination is Rijeka Airport. It is located near Omisalj, on the island of Krk, which is connected to the mainland by a Krk bridge. You can also fly to Trieste in Italy or to Zagreb and take a bus or car to Kvarner.

During the summer months you can also fly to Pula, which is in the neighboring region of Istria. Several major European cities are connected by rail to Rijeka, but there are direct lines from Munich and Ljubljana to Rijeka, which is very well connected to other parts of Croatia by bus.
